I lost my mom to Alzheimer’s November 14th, 2021. I had just been with her a week before, laughing and playing catch with one of the dog toys.
I received a call a week later that she had taken a sudden turn for the worse. I drove several hours and got there in time to say I love you. She mouthed it back, eyes half closed, then I waited with her for 3 days to take her last breath.
